Privacy Policy.

A plain-English summary of what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can reach us if you have questions or want your information removed.

Last Updated · April 2026

01Who we are

Timberline Minerals LLC is a family owned mineral rights office. We are based in Texas and work with individual mineral owners across the United States. This policy applies to information we collect through our website at timberlineminerals.com and in the normal course of doing business with you.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, you can reach us at ops@timberlineminerals.com or (512) 626-7267.

02What we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

Information you give us directly. When you fill out our valuation form or contact us by phone or email, we collect things like your name, email address, phone number, city and state, and any details you share about your mineral rights or your situation. Giving us this information is voluntary.

Information we gather from public records. In the normal course of our work, we research mineral ownership using publicly available sources like county clerk records, state regulatory filings (such as ECMC, WOGCC, and NDIC), and published pooling orders. If we reach out to you directly, it is likely because your name appears in these public records in connection with mineral rights.

03How we use it

We use the information we collect for a small set of specific purposes:

  • To respond to your questions and requests for valuation or analysis
  • To prepare written analyses of mineral rights and communicate them to you
  • To contact you if we have questions about your rights, or if we are interested in purchasing them
  • To keep records of our conversations and agreements for business and tax purposes

We do not use your information to serve advertising, build marketing lists we sell to others, or track you across unrelated websites.

04What we do not do

A few things worth stating plainly:

  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
  • We do not share your information with data brokers.
  • We do not send unsolicited marketing emails to you after you contact us, unless you ask us to.
  • We do not use behavioral advertising or retargeting pixels on this website.

05Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of essential cookies to operate normally. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how people find and use the site — for example, how many visitors read a particular guide or page. These tools are configured not to identify individual visitors.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party trackers to follow you off the site.

06Who sees your information

Access to your information within our business is limited to the people who need it to do their work — which, in practice, is a very small team. We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the business:

  • A customer relationship management system to keep track of our conversations and records
  • Email and phone services to communicate with you
  • Website hosting and form processing to run this site

These providers have their own privacy practices and access only the information needed to perform their specific role.

07How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we have an active relationship with you, plus a reasonable period after for legal, tax, and business records purposes. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so except where we are legally required to retain something (for example, records of completed transactions).

08Your rights

You can always ask us:

  • What information we have about you
  • To correct anything that is wrong
  • To delete your information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements
  • To stop contacting you

Just email or call us. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within a few days.

09Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be noted more prominently. We encourage you to check back occasionally, though we do not expect to make frequent changes.
